About the Artist

I attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts for my senior year in high school, then went into a technical career in 3D. After a 25-year break, I returned to traditional oil painting.

My paintings begin with familiar places — trees, water, roads, fields, skies — but the subject is often the light itself: how it organizes a scene, alters memory, and turns ordinary places into something worth lingering over.

About the Work

I work in oil with an emphasis on atmosphere, simplified structure, and painterly surface. Rather than describe every detail, I work for the moment when a place becomes more felt than literal.
